baby&child Portrait Contest

It's that time of the year again! The lab where I make all my prints has an annual photo contest. The photos entered into the contest must be taken between January 1st and June 21st 2009. So I am going to enter one photo from each session from now until June. Now here is the great news for you - if the photo from your session wins, then YOU get the cash prize (not me)! How great is that? And the top prize is $5,000!! Wow. So schedule a session between now and then for a chance to win. Here is the first photo I am going to enter - taken in January - sweet Sofia. I just love this kid!

Bridal Extravaganza

Today was the annual Bridal Expo here in town. It is always so much fun, but also exhausting. Thanks for coming by to say hi today! I enjoyed meeting all of you. Here is a picture of my booth this year!

Operation Tadvickian Mongoose

I have been working on this project for a long time now. Stephanie first approached me about this when I was pregnant!! She wanted to take a few pictures of some kids to honor our OBGYN. Here is the intro to the book:

This book is dedicated to you, Dr. Tadvick! We made it simply because you deserve it. We believe there are many, many reasons you deserve to be honored. Inside you'll find pictures of our precious children that you brought into this world. What a responsibility that is….but what a superb job you've done! Our hope is that the following pages, full of pictures and words, will express our admiration and thankfulness. A little history…this project started over a year ago! We sent out a top-secret letter with the above title hoping to recruit 15 grateful families ready and willing to provide their pictures and words for this book. As things tend to happen for us, however, this thing exploded in a really cool way! Now there are 59 families, and who knows how many kiddos, that are involved in this project.

I ended up having 10 mini sessions with people still calling to be a part of the project after we had already ordered the book. Just a testament to what an amazing doctor Dr. Tadvick is! I am so amazed at what the project became and so happy that we were able to show him how much he means to so many people.

Valentine Dinner

This past weekend I had the privilege to take pictures at the Father/Daughter dance at highland! It was SO cute and so much fun. I can't wait until Sawyer can go with Eric to this!! Here are some pictures from this special event.
