Yesterday I got up bright and early to head up to the hospital to shoot Stephanie's c-section. I was nervous and excited! It turned out though that the anesthesiologist freaked out a bit and kicked me out :( I got some great pictures of Liam as soon as he was born though and I can't wait for his newborn session!!!

Browning Family

Last Thursday I drove out to take pictures of the Brownings for a Back to School Special. Barrett is an adorable little boy and I was so excited to take pictures of him again! Our session was cut a little short by this HUGE storm that came in. I had to drive home in it, but I made it ok.

See the gigantic storm- It was a bad one. We lost power at our house for 4 hours thanks to it.

I had my first back to school special last night and it was great!! We went out to Wylie's new stadium for the pictures and it is nice! Matthew is going into 1st grade and Abba will be in Kindergarden. We took pictures in their first day of school clothes and then in their Wylie outfits. These two kids did great and were so cute! Here are a few...

Abba is 5 and Matthew is 7, and their mom wanted to be able to come back to the stadium for their senior pictures. I thought it would be fun if in 10 years they took some more pictures sitting in the seat with their age. I bet the chairs won't look near as nice in 10 years!

Easter Mini- Sessions

I know I can't wait to take pictures of my kiddos in their fun Easter outfits, so I figured that others might feel the same way! So I decided to have a set of mini-sessions on April 4th. These will be 30 minute sessions out at Erinshire Gardens. The cost is $150 for the 30 minute session and a disc of all of the digital negatives! This is an awesome deal since the digital negatives are usually $350 alone. These sessions can be of your kids, of the family or of both.

It's that time of the year again! The lab where I make all my prints has an annual photo contest. The photos entered into the contest must be taken between January 1st and June 21st 2009. So I am going to enter one photo from each session from now until June. Now here is the great news for you - if the photo from your session wins, then YOU get the cash prize (not me)! I have been working on this project for a long time now. Stephanie first approached me about this when I was pregnant!! She wanted to take a few pictures of some kids to honor our OBGYN. Here is the intro to the book:

This book is dedicated to you, Dr. Tadvick! We made it simply because you deserve it. We believe there are many, many reasons you deserve to be honored. Inside you'll find pictures of our precious children that you brought into this world. What a responsibility that is….but what a superb job you've done! Our hope is that the following pages, full of pictures and words, will express our admiration and thankfulness. A little history…this project started over a year ago! We sent out a top-secret letter with the above title hoping to recruit 15 grateful families ready and willing to provide their pictures and words for this book. As things tend to happen for us, however, this thing exploded in a really cool way! Now there are 59 families, and who knows how many kiddos, that are involved in this project.

I ended up having 10 mini sessions with people still calling to be a part of the project after we had already ordered the book. Just a testament to what an amazing doctor Dr. Tadvick is! I am so amazed at what the project became and so happy that we were able to show him how much he means to so many people.

I was so excited to get to take pictures of these two again! They are back in town for a few months and I would never pass up an opportunity to take their pictures. Sofia has gotten so great at having her photo taken. I love this age!
